5.3.3
Water Resources
In water consumption management, the water at
our headquarters is supplied directly by Taiwan Water
Corporation. In addition to wide adoption of sensor faucets
and conserving water by controlling the amount and time
of water flow, we have also distributed water conservation
slogans, reminding employees to conserve water and
contribute to the protection of the earth. Rain water collection
systems are installed on the roof of the headquarters and
on construction sites for watering vegetation and use in
construction. In terms of water conservation measures at the
construction sites, in addition to using equipment that has met
water-conservation standards and posting signs to encourage
water conservation, we also dictate that water used to clean
car tires at the entrances and exits need to be filtered and
reused, company cars should be wiped clean rather than
directly washed, and that routine inspection of pipes should
be undertaken to prevent any leakage.In 2015, we did not
achieve the goal set for total amount of water consumption
reduction because of staff increase in the headquarters and
the increased amount of construction in construction projects.
