Vendor Evaluation
To ensure that all materials, contracted designs, and
construction and manufacturing operations supplied from
CTCI's ("the Company") suppliers and partner firms all compy
with the CTCI's quoted price and clients requirement in terms
of quality, safety, health, and environmental protection, price,
and deadlines, after an engineering project has commenced,
the Project procurement Manager and procurement
Engineering from our procurement Department conduct
midterm evaluations and project evaluations for every 6
months, on the suppliers and partner firms who provide the
equipment and supplies according to "Vendor Assessment
Procedures." In 2015, we conducted 757 midterm assessments
and completed-project assessments on 397 vendors, of
which 575 assessments were conducted on suppliers, 182 on

contractors, and the average score was 7.84 points. These
stringent evaluation tasks thoroughly demonstrate CTCI's
honest and fair treatment for all vendors, and our goal in
creating a seamless partnership and synergistic growth with
our vendors. We had sent out thank-you letters to the vendors
that received stellar scores in the assessments and notified
our management. Only vendors whose total assessment
score and safety, health, and environmental protection
score had both reached 8 points or above were notified.
On the other hand, those that did not pass the assessment
or had been reported as unqualified vendors by the Public
Construction Commission, Executive Yuan, would be listed
as unqualified vendors to CTCI, and would be recorded and
have all rights suspended. If a vendor wishes to renew its
rights with CTCI, it would have to go through evaluations and
be approved by a manager in an affiliated business unit.
