Conservation
As a leading brand in world-class engineering
and technology service industry, CTCI has placed
great emphasis on environmental issues since its
founding. With rapid advancement of the industries
and technology, global warming and climate change
is increasingly severe. As a member of the global
community, we must spare no effort in energy-
saving and carbon reduction. In terms of professional
engineering, CTCI continues to develop more energy-
saving and carbon-reducing technologies to minimize
energy consumption and prevent pollution. Internally,
we regularly post announcements to remind
employees to save energy. In addition to establishing
a corporate culture of energy conservation, energy-
saving and carbon reduction are a focus in routine
operations at the headquarters building. Nightly
patrols are carried out to ensure no energy waste
takes place, and energy consumption is well-
documented.
1. Electrical energy-saving technologies:
➢
Upgrading high-performance transformers: Using
amorphous metal transformers and permalloy
silicon steel transformers to minimize loss of no-
load iron cores
➢
High-efficiency motors: Increasing electricity
efficiency by 20% to 25%
➢
Using inverters: Achieving better control for
process systems, lower machinery maintenance
cost, lower noise output, and increased adaptability
to system changes
➢
High-performance lighting and outdoor
lighting switches: T5 blast-proof LED indoor and
outdoor lighting; Manual lighting switches for the
maintenance platform of the outdoor process tower
1. Waste water treatment
➢
Advanced dual-layer upflow anaerobic sludge
blanket
➢
Process technologies and membrane bio-reactor
(MBR).
➢
Electrodialysis reversal (EDR) for industrial waste
water recycling
1. Implementing energy-saving and carbon reduction
in the headquarters building
➢
A portion of the elevators are powered off after
business hours and during holidays, so that the
elevator system operates at minimal demand.
➢
Different lighting modes are assigned to time
periods in public areas.
➢
Switches for air-conditioning is connected to
lighting, so that both are powered off at the same
time.
➢
Implementing 5S office management; Monthly
review and competition of floor-by-floor energy-
saving effectiveness
Implementation results of indicative green
engineering and the electricity saved at
the headquarters building:
1. Green engineering saved 9,615MWh of
electricity.
2. Green engineering saved 24,000 tons of
water.
3. The headquarters building saved 518,222
TWD in electricity bill.
