Background
With the concepts of energy saving and carbon reduction now deeply
rooted in people's minds, advancements in technological and engineering
methods have continued to improve and eliminate any contradiction between
economic development and environmental protection. People can now enjoy
the use of resources and the conveniences of daily life without having to worry
about the surrounding plants discharging wasted gas harmful to both human
health and the environment.
The FGRS Project is an eco-friendly project with a mission to protect the
environment by recovering the waste gas from the plants.
CPC Chief Engineer Chen said, “CPC has been putting a lot of emphasis
on environmental protection.Apart from incorporating the concept of energy
conservation and carbon reduction into our engineering methods, we are
also actively seeking ways to reduce and deal with the unavoidable waste
produced by plants.” In response to the Regulations and Emission Standards of
Volatile Organic Compounds promulgated by Taiwan’s EPA and, in particular,
Article four thereof, waste gas discharged into public and private spaces under
normal operating conditions cannot be dealt with by using a waste gas flare ,
or something similar. As a result, in an effort to find a better solution to reduce
emissions, CPC decided to build the Talin Flare Gas Recovery System. The
company hopes to minimize the air pollution caused by operations at the Talin
Refinery Plant.
