Cultivating Community
Culture
Shilin District, with its rich cultural history and humanities, is
where CTCI's headquarters is located. Holding true to a vision
of "loving thy neighbor", CTCI is committed to the cultural
development in Shilin over the long-run, and collaborates with
local groups to provide opportunities for residents in the local
community to understand the ecology, culture, and historical
characteristics in Shilin. 2015 marks the fifth consecutive
year in which CTCI has collaborated with Zhishan Cultural
and Ecological Garden to co-host and sponsor the ”Zhishan
Scenic and Shilin Cultural Festival” under the guidance from
the Ministry of Culture and the Department of Cultural Affairs,
Taipei City Government. We hope to gather the various arts
communities in Shilin and Tianmu Districts through music,
humanities, and aesthetics, and together we can strive to
promote regional cultural development. Besides being
cohosted by local businesses, cultural centers, schools, and
arts groups, we also invited charity groups and residents of
Shilin and Tianmu Districts to take part in this event. And we
successfully attracted active participation from the residents
with arts and cultural events such as the Shilin Water and
Green Environment Day, music performances, Shilin Cultural
Center Tour, and Music Marathon. Through integrating music
and artistic events, we hope to achieve our objective of
regional cultural development through giving back, caring,
and socializing, alongside local businesses, students, and
communities.
